Car Share



Peter Kays Car Share is a British sitcom which is focused around a supermarket assistant manager John Redmond.
The sitcom is written by Peter Kay who is a English comedian and an actor, he has also written 3 books and has got a Guinness World Record for the most successful stand up comedy tours.
Car Share has two main characters John Redmond ( the assistant manager) and Kayleigh Kitson (promotions rep), these two characters are part of a car share scheme which involves sharing a car with one other, this sitcom is only filmed in the car driving to and from there work place in Johns Fiat 500L. Each episode is 30 minutes long so hasn't got long episodes this mean they have to make it funny and make sure everything they put in is eye catching enjoyable.

This English comedian was born in Farnworth, Lancaster only left school with one GCSE in art and moved from many different jobs including toilet roll factory, cinema, bingo hall and many other jobs. He began a degree course in the University of Liverpool where he studied media, but he dropped out because he was given an unconditional offer to attend a Higher National Diploma in media performance at the University of Salford, he studied media until he completed the course this involved stand up. While Kay was trying to have a career in stand up he still worked part time in his local cinema, when the cinema closed down he was left with the choice to find another job or focus full time on stand up. His stand up career really picked up in 1997 when he won the show 'So you think your funny' after that he was featured in many different festivals and shows like in 1998 when he was in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

    1. Great question Matt, Peter Kay has been involved in many different shows and even films like Going Off Big Time, but other TV shows include: Let it Shine, Linda Green, Comedy Lab and that's only to name a few.
